Your First Visit at A Balanced Approach Nutrition

Welcome to A Balanced Approach Nutrition! We’re thrilled that you’re considering us for your care, and want you to know that from the second you walk in, we aim to treat you as a part of our family. When you choose care with us, we’ll always listen to your concerns and do our best to develop a custom care plan consisting of nutritional advice and support that will help you achieve your goals in health, naturally.

Upon Arrival

We ask that new clients schedule their appointment at least a week out so they can keep a 7-day diet record. Nancy will look at this along with your health forms and any recent blood work or tests you’ve had done.

Nancy will also look at your finger nails, skin, and tongue to look for signs of nutritional deficiencies. She’ll get to know you, your goals, and how committed you are to making changes.

I strive to be an investigative practitioner. I won’t just look at health history and hand a supplement to someone.

The first visit will take approximately one hour. Follow up visits are scheduled to 1-3 weeks later depending on which tests that have been ordered.

Nutritional Stepping Stones

During your first visit in order to discover the real cause of your health problems, additional testing may be ordered in the form of blood work, stool or hair analysis. Nancy might recommend a supplement or dietary changes tailored to your unique needs. She’ll help you to build on these changes during follow-up visits.

Making dietary changes can be difficult, but it’s vital for long-term wellness. That’s why Nancy won’t give you a long list of changes to make all at once.

During your second visit, she’ll go over tests results and discuss an individualized diet and wellness plan. Nutritional Reflex Testing (NRT); a form of muscle testing, is often used to help determine an individualized supplement program to further support the restoration of your health. Nancy encourages patients to ask any questions they may have during the process—we want you to be an active partner in your health. We believe that educated patients often have the best results.

We are eager to meet you and help you reach your goals! Contact our office today to make an appointment.
